I snuck into Stanford!

I’m IN! I don’t really know how much the odds were against me or with me as I applied last month to get into Stanford University’s 2-year online creative writing program. But. I. Got. In. The last week I spent in Canada canoeing in a couple million acres of wonderful wilderness in Quetico Provincial Park–amazing experience with my son and a bunch of Scouts. Today, we returned to base camp, picked up my iPhone for the first time in a week… and what a gift! “It is our pleasure to inform you that you have been accepted to the…” I shouted. Two scouts right outside my cabin freaked out because it sounded like someone had been injured in my cabin. Ha! And, so began my journey toward my craft of writing, my first possible novel and a walk with three dozen other like minded people.
